Jun Ko Li was a company commander in the Fourth Capellan Chargers during the Dark Age Era.[1]
History
In 3125, the Capellan Confederation dispatched forces to raid the Free Worlds League planet of Iknogoro. After three days of fighting, the planetary militia was forced out of the capital city and into the mountains, requiring Sang-wei Li to lead a headhunter unit in order to destroy the militiamen's headquarters. After breaking through the enemy's lines and racing towards the headquarters' location, Li's team caught up with the enemy commander and her staff in the mountain gorge known as Black Rock Pass. As the commander's BattleMech bodyguards moved into defensive positions, Li's troops put their faith in their machines' greater speed and ECM capabilities to get them in close, where they used their TSEMP cannons to quickly shut down several 'Mechs. When the remaining militia 'Mechs panicked and retreated, Li's team chased down the fleeing headquarters convoy and captured it, leading to the collapse of the militia's defensive efforts for the rest of the raid.[2][3]
Li's aggressive tactics during the Iknogoro raid earned him the attention of the Capellan Confederation Armed Forces' high command and a position as commanding officer of his own scout company within the Fourth Capellan Chargers. Furthermore, it was indicated that the Death Commandos had begun to show an interest in Li's capabilities.[1]
