Jude Simmons was a VTOL operator in the First Federated Suns Armored Cavalry Regiment.[1]
History
Leftenant Simmons earned his pilot's wings after successfully applying for flight school but his expertise in electronic warfare made him the perfect operator for the headstrong pilot Leftenant Bonnie Hunter. While the two officers had idiosyncratic personalities, their operational record during Operation BULLDOG and the Federated Commonwealth Civil War proved that they were one of the deadliest VTOL crews in the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns. "The Gangsters," as the duo came to be called, were thought to exemplify the spirit of the First FedSuns ACR and they would go on to prove themselves once again during the Capellan March's Operation SOVEREIGN JUSTICE in the midst of the Jihad.[1]
Facing off against the Sixth Confederation Reserve Cavalry on Halloran V, Simmons and Hunter's platoon found itself isolated and ambushed by the cunning Arcade Rangers. After only three minutes of brutal fighting, only the Gangsters' VTOL remained standing, having scored three kills single-handedly during the struggle. Afterwards, Simmons and Hunter were rewarded when their heavily-damaged aircraft was replaced by a new, ACR-variant VTOL.[1]

Leftenant Jude Simmons operated a Yellow Jacket gunship during his time with the First FedSuns ACR and received an ACR-variant Yellow Jacket after the ambush on Halloran V.[1]
