Joseph Andrew Blak was a notable officer in the Second McCarron's Armored Cavalry Regiment during the Dark Age Era.[1]
History
Zhong-shao Blak was a member of a noble house from Castrovia and showed a passion for artillery early on. Instead of becoming an artillery instructor, Blak gave in to familial pressure and joined the Second McCarron's Armored Cavalry Regiment as a MechWarrior. During the Second MAC's invasion of Liberty, then-Sao-shao Blak used his detailed knowledge of artillery tactics and natural skill at combined-arms tactics to pin an entire Stone's Fury flank in place. While guarding the Second MAC's artillery pieces operating from their concealed firing positions, Blak's location was discovered by a Republic reconnaissance sweep. In order to defend the artillerymen, Blak faced the enemy BattleMechs head on, downing three of them before forcing the remaining hostiles to flee. Blak's actions on Liberty earned him a promotion to higher rank and the respect of the Second MAC as a whole.[1]
