Jameston Gaston was the commanding officer of the Tenth Deneb Light Cavalry as of 3039.[2]
History
Gaston served as a hovertank company commander in the Tenth Deneb Light Cavalry during the Fourth Succession War and his experiences fighting in that conflict left him with a deep hatred of the Draconis Combine as a whole—and of House Kurita in particular.[3] During the War of 3039, Gaston held the rank of leftenant general and commanded the Tenth DLC under Field Marshal James Sandoval as part of the invasion of Marduk. Gaston's troops dealt significant damage to the Sixth Benjamin and Eighth Galedon Regulars in the course of the Combine's counter-invasion, although the Federated Suns' forces were ultimately ordered to withdraw from Marduk before destroying either of the enemy units.[2]
By 3050, now-Hauptmann-General Gaston continued to command the Tenth DLC and was stationed on Crossing.[1] By 3054, Gaston retained command of the Tenth DLC and was stationed on Babaeski.[4] In 3062, Gaston still command the Tenth DLC during its posting to New Avalon. By this time, Victor Steiner-Davion's association with the Kuritas and his rumored relationship with Omi Kurita left Gaston as a firm supporter of the ex-Prince's sister, Katherine Steiner-Davion. Gaston's views were also shared by much of the Tenth DLC, as the unit saw Victor's alliance with their enemy as a betrayal of everything they stood for.[3]
