The Isle of the Eagles was one of the Pentagon Powers, a collection of warlord states living in the ruins of the Star League in Exile. The Isle occupied a portion of Circe's northern habitable zone.[1]
History
L'Isle des Aigles (as their name went in the the French language they favored) was a proto-state of Davion heritage, and the last power on northern Circe to resist the Clans. The Eagles relied on extensive fortifications and frequently withdrew to avoid pitched battle with the superior Snow Raven and Wolverine forces, allowing them to wear down the former through attrition. The Eagles were finally defeated on November 19, 2821, when the Wolverine hammer pushed an Eagle force near the city of Hamilton into the Raven anvil on nearby Constan's Ridge. The Ravens were expecting only a company but instead were faced with a battalion sized force, costing them half of their remaining ground forces.[1]
