History

Origins

House Brahe was a military family originary from the Rasalhague Military District of the Draconis Combine. Gustav Brahe's daughter married with Yorinaga Kurita, establishing blood ties with the prestigious House Kurita. However, after Yorinaga's fall on disgrace, both his daughter and son were sell as slaves. Gustav buyed them both, allowing his daughter to commit sepukku and adopting Akira, which since then bore the Brahe name. Years later, Akira Brahe regained some honor becoming MechWarrior (pilot) of the 11th Legion of Vega, and , in 3027, joining the most prestigious unit of the Combine, the Genyosha, under his father's orders, leading a company of Rasalhague MechWarriors as Chu-sa.[1]

Service as Lyrans

However, Akira's career on the Combine didn't last long: on 3029, after his father's defeat and suicide, he had grew tired of Takashi Kurita's mistreatment of his father and the Genyosha, so he abandoned the unit, joining the Kell Hounds. Morgan Kell gladly accepted him.[2]

Akira's career as a Hound was much more successful, eventually leading their second regiment and, during the Word of Blake Jihad, all the unit. Akira married an exiled Rasalhague women, having four children with her: all become formidable soldiers, one being promoted to captain of the Hounds' second regiment, and his granddaughter, Leslie Brahe becoming a close advisor of Devlin Stone himself, and later, a Republic of the Sphere Senator.[3]
