Description
The Heavy Forester is a Star League-era LoggerMech designed by Högen-Schnögl Industries. Innovative for the time, the quad was designed to cut and haul lumber, using heavy duty cargo chains to carry its haul. Högen-Schnögl licensed their design out to small manufacturers for production. Achernar BattleMechs would later build on the Heavy Forester's chassis and design to produce the Heavy Lifter.[1]
Weapons and Equipment
The Heavy Forester carries two chainsaws for its work. Dual lift hoists take lumber for the 'Mech's four tons of cargo space. Each leg holds a searchlight, and the cockpit holds an ejection seat. Commercial armor provides some protection.[1][3]

- HFL-1M Heavy Forester MOD
- This militarized MOD wields dual machine guns and AC/2s, losing the chainsaws, cargo space, searchlights, and ejection seat. One heat sink is added. BV (2.0) = 465.[4]

Notes
The Heavy Forester, introduced as an unnamed 60 ton quad LoggerMech in Mercenary's Star, was named in Technical Readout: Irregulars as part of the entry for the Heavy Lifter. Record sheets were included, but no dedicated overview or art for the Heavy Forester exists.
