Elizabeth Vanga was the commanding officer of the Thirty-second Galedon Regulars as of 3050.[1]
History
Tai-sa Vanga, serving with the Thirty-second Galedon Regulars, was stationed on Huan in 3050.[1] Following the Clan Invasion, Vanga retained command of the Thirty-second Regulars and was stationed on Pesht by 3054.[2]
Many Draconis Combine Mustered Soldiery observers saw the appointment of a female commander to a unit as inexperienced as the Thirty-second Galedon to be a clear sign that it would not be used in active combat and was thus doomed to unimportance. Instead, Vanga's emphasis on close-order drills, clean machinery, and dress uniforms transformed the Thirty-second Galedon into a renowned show unit. Vanga's efforts increased the Thirty-second Galedon's reputation with planetary rulers and senior officers while simultaneously increasing her soldiers' morale and self-confidence. By 3059, Vanga's Regulars were still stationed on Pesht on orders from Coordinator Theodore Kurita—an honorable posting that was seen as the first step towards combat duties.[3]
