Egan Powell was a notable small craft commander in Wolf's Dragoons' Wolfsbane Battalion during the Dark Age Era.[1]
History
Lieutenant Powell had recently been recruited into Wolf's Dragoons in 3145 and was hired to oversee a new program for the mercenaries' striker battalions. After the successes achieved by battle armor troop carriers during the Draconis Reach Campaign and the Draconis Combine's later advances into the Federated Suns, Major Nathan Castle of the Wolfsbane Battalion requested a squadron of his own for the transport of Elemental soldiers. As a former company commander in McFadden's Sky Storm, Powell was placed in charge of the transport squadron but found it difficult to adjust to the strikers' attitudes, although he enjoyed adapting to differing operational requirements. Powell's most notable project was his effort to train the squadron in close-assault tactics for the purpose of hijacking JumpShips but he continued to argue that a dedicated assault craft would be more efficient than his transport squadron.[1]
