Overview

The Duckett A-5 was shotgun produced by the Lyran Commonwealth's Duckett Military Arms, the company's first product. Designed by Hiram Duckett, who had worked on the failing Byron 15S project for several years, the A-5 outwardly resembled the 15S but shared little in common internally. No Byron-patented elements were used, a fact that did not stop Byron from trying to sue Duckett Military Arms. The A-5 found use in planetary militias, but little foothold in the LCAF more broadly, held back by politics.[1]
