Discordant Mantle is the counter callsign to the Clarion Call that shut down the Hyperpulse Generator network on Gray Monday to initiate the Blackout across the Inner Sphere. In the early days of discordant mantle going live, there was quite a bit of confusion on different worlds. The shock and surprise of seeing the long dormant machines coming back to life made them target number one for all interested parties.
