Devian Azalin was a notable officer in the First Skye Jaegers during the Civil War and Jihad Eras.[1]
History
Kommandant Azalin joined the First Skye Jaegers amidst the fervor surrounding the creation of the Alliance Jaegers, just in time for the beginning of the Federated Commonwealth Civil War. During that conflict, Azalin participated in numerous engagements and earned fame for his skills as a MechWarrior. He partook in the Sixteenth Battle of Hesperus II during the Jihad, where his marksmanship talents were further demonstrated in the long-range fighting that helped to drive off the Word of Blake's Fortieth Shadow Division. After receiving a battlefield commission due to the First Skye's high attrition rates, Azalin coordinated the unit's efforts alongside ComStar's Seventy-ninth and 103rd Divisions during the liberation of Galatea. Azalin achieved his last promotion to the rank of kommandant following the conclusion of the Galatea campaign, which he held until his retirement in 3081.[1]
