David Plante was a tank platoon commander in the Bolan Province Militia during the Dark Age Era.[1]
History
Born on the backwoods planet of Turinge, Staff Sergeant Plante developed superb camouflage abilities while hunting and transferred those skills to combat vehicles during his decades serving with the Bolan Province Militia. When Clan Wolf invaded the Lyran Commonwealth, Plante's vehicle platoon participated in the unsuccessful defense of several worlds including Gallery and Aristotle, with his unit's fire support proving critical at enabling evacuations. While only three of Plante's tanks came through the fighting alive, their crews credited their survival to Plante's ability to remain undetected by Wolf forces. Lyran reporters subsequently brought Plante to national fame as an unkillable warrior, although he quickly set about avoiding any reporters after retiring from the Lyran Commonwealth Armed Forces.[1]
