Daisuke Kurita was the last true scion of House Kurita and son of Emi Kurita.[3]
History
When Emi Kurita narrowly escaped an assassination attempt on her life after finding out about a conspiracy against the ruling Kurita family, she had no choice but to seek asylum with the Nova Cats who harbored loyalty to her family and not the "puppet" Coordinator Yori Kurita. While hiding within the protection of the Nova Cats, she went on a personal mission to conceive a child to continue the true line of Kurita blood.
Once he was conceived, and with the backing of both the Nova Cats and Katana Tormark's Dragon's Fury, Emi was able to gather a sizable force to rebel against the Dragon Throne. Unfortunately for her, the forces of Yori Kurita and Matsuhari Toranaga proved stronger and the rebel faction was brutally crushed.[3]
Emi decided to take the life of herself and her son, Daisuke, with poison rather than to see both of them executed and/or paraded as a trophy.[3]
However, Daisuke's death remains unconfirmed: about 3150, Toranaga heard rumors than he was alive, and he lost three agents attempting to confirm it. The same year, the Black Dragon Society attempted to kill Yori Kurita and Toranaga, intending to replacing her with a more pure blooded Kurita, who might possibly have been Daisuke.[4]
