The articles in this category are individual Hero 'Mechs developed by Piranha Games for MechWarrior Online Legends, also appearing in MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries. The Hero 'Mech concept does not exist in-universe; it is firmly a computer game mechanic.
Individual Hero 'Mechs may be fully canonical, canonical only in reference to their name and class but not their exact configuration, entirely apocryphal, or even outright non-canonical in cases conflicting with canon.
Fluff and lore accompanying them was initially declared fully canonical for BattleTech by then-incumbent CGL Line Developer Randall N. Bills, who also wrote most if not all of these fiction vignettes, but a later ruling by Ray Arrastia as Line Developer reversed that decision. (See Hero 'Mech article for details.)
