History
Cardiff's Crushers were a small mercenary company that was contracted in 3057 by the nascent Styk Commonality to liberate Gan Singh from the chaos caused by the Capellan uprising that happened as part of Operation Guerrero. The unit was able to easily defeat the local Count's noble retainers (the Count's Own Guards, small force of the local nobleman's soldiers made up of approximately a lance of BattleMechs and a lance of Combat vehicles).
The destruction of the Count's Own Guards spelled the end of active resistance to the Crushers on Gan Singh, though the Crushers went on to exterminate the Capellan partisans as well, correctly guessing that they'd be the next targets on the Capellans' list once they dealt with the locals. Although there were scattered other forces on-planet, mostly deserters from the First Federated Commonwealth RCT, and even a lost company from the Third Donegal Guards, they were too far away to prevent the government joining the Styk Commonality.
The Crushers remained as garrison until their contract expired and they boosted for newer contracts.[1]
