Prelude
The Draconis Combine Civil War had been raging for two years, but the recent Battle of Irece and the death of Emi Kurita ended the involvement of Clan Nova Cat, leaving Katana Tormark's holdings on Piedmont and Chichibu as the sole remaining worlds in rebellion.
Overview
On 20 January 3143 Gunji-no-Kanrei Matsuhari Toranaga struck Piedmont and Chichibu. Leading the Piedmont assault personally, Toranaga anticipated the battle to last for three days. The persistent attacks in Toranaga's rear by the Third Dieron Regulars, particularly by the nimble Jackalopes, drew this battle out for more than five weeks. The Amaterasu present acquitted themselves well, with Chu-sa Antonia Chinn downing three Kuritan BattleMechs before her Summoner "Kanazuchi" was destroyed. Other Amaterasu like Tai-i Danni Haag elected to retreat off world rather than make a final stand.[1][2][3][4]
Outcome
Katana Tormark was transported back to Luthien and imprisoned, with popular opinions holding that she had been executed in secret.[1]. Danni Haag was later seen in the Vega Protectorate among the Freeminders.[4]
