Overview
Acala was invided by the AFFS in 2992. The invasion was going well when CCAF reinforcements arrived in system. Supported by several Transgressors, the CCAF was able to push aside the Davion aerospace fighters that had been sent in emergency to defend the Davion DropShips. The fight lasted for nearly 14 hours, and in the end, the Liao reinforcements had fought their way into orbit and dropped their 'Mechs. This marked the peak of the Liao offensive as once the 'Mech forces landed they were engaged by the elite Davion 'Mech attackers and were destroyed after a pitched battle. At this moment the Liao commanding officer ordered a retreat and had their surviving aerospace forces to cover the retreat. The Liao forces evacuated with the Davion forces not pursuing.[1][1]
