Barrett Barnett was a notable officer in the Kaitangata Home Guard during the Dark Age Era.[1]
History
After the capture of Kaitangata and the defeat of the planet's Federated Suns militia forces, Sao-wei Barnett became an outspoken supporter of the artillery vehicles captured from the enemy militiamen. Given command of all six artillery machines in the Home Guard battalion, Barnett developed a skill for utilizing the vehicles' communications equipment to keep better track of the battalion's components than the unit commander did from the helm of his BattleMech. While Barnett's willingness to speak out would have been rewarded in militaries such as the Republic Armed Forces and Armed Forces of the Federated Suns, in the Capellan Confederation Armed Forces it was considered likely to bring him official reprimand.[1]
