Amber Lankenau was a Bloodnamed officer of Clan Wolf's Ninth Wolf Battle Cluster during the Dark Age Era.[1]
History
Star Captain Amber was a member of the Ninth Wolf Battle Cluster when Clan Wolf invaded the Free Worlds League planet of Gannett. While the planetary militia was entirely outmatched by the combined might of the Ninth Battle and 328th Assault Clusters, the Gannett Planetary Defense League's fighter squadron was staffed by Atrean Hussars retirees and put up significant resistance. Amber won the bid to destroy the militia squadron but lost two of her three craft for the price of only three of the enemy Shikras, forcing her to commit her remaining pilots in order to win the battle. While she expected the Defense League pilots to surrender in the face of insurmountable odds, Amber was enraged when the survivors fought to the death and cost her half of her remaining Star before perishing. In a fit of anger, Amber and her wingman obliterated the Defense League's airbase before returning to Clan Wolf's lines.[1][2]
