Alaid Running-Elk was a Bloodnamed warrior and the commanding officer of the Eightieth Fang Cluster of Clan Steel Viper's Omega Galaxy as of 3054.[1]
History
Star Colonel Alaid, serving with the Eightieth Fang Cluster, was stationed in the Blackjack system in 3061.[2] Alaid was considered to be a unique warrior within the ranks of Clan Steel Viper's military due to her origins as a member of Clan Jade Falcon. Separated from her comrades in the Third Talon Cluster during the Viper conquest of Blackjack in 3052, Alaid was captured as a bondswoman after encountering a Star of Steel Vipers. Following two years of indentured service, she was made abtakha in 3054 shortly before acquiring the rank of Star Colonel and command of the Eightieth Fang. Although she was widely-regarded as a superb warrior and inspired the soldiers under her command to fanatical degrees of loyalty, her origins outside of Clan Steel Viper prevented her from receiving a posting to a frontline combat unit.[1]
By 3067, Alaid retained command of the Eightieth Fang and was stationed on Homer.[3]
