History
Clan Invasion
Jarett
The invasion of Jarett saw the first battle between the forces of Clan Ghost Bear and the Draconis Combine. Wave Two opened for the Bears with reports from the Smoke Jaguars on the brutality and honor to be found in fighting the DCMS. The CO of the Ninth commanded an inexperienced unit, which she did not wish to broadcast to the invaders, while saKhan Theresa DelVillar personally led elements of Alpha Galaxy in the attack. Informed by ComStar about the position of the three battalions of the Ninth Regulars, Khan DelVillar charged directly for the Ninth. After the Clan forces discovered the bravery of the DCMS forces, the saKhan attempted to avoid killing the Spheroids when possible, a tactic her warriors soon followed. This restraint did result in many soldiers being taken as bondsmen. The battle continued for ten days as the Regulars fought a mobile campaign through the Solun Jungle, only to eventually inevitably fall. Only a few companies managed to retreat offworld.[2]
Luzerne
The survivors of Jarrett then faced the Smoke Jaguars on Luzerne. The Ninth Regulars had learned to fight the Clans after their losses and lured the advancing Clan forces into a prepared area with killing zones. The determination of the Clanners surprised the Kuritan defenders. Once they were able to escape the prepared area and encircle the Regulars, the Jaguars chased the Ninth to the mountain ranges separating the Ninth from the spaceport. The Jaguars fired from raised positions along the Lawrence Pass down at the Ninth and virtually no DCMS soldiers survived the battle.[3]

Notes
- Field Manual: Draconis Combine reported that the Dark Nebula Wing survived Luzerne in order to be reassigned to the 32nd Galedon Regulars. As Combat Manual: Kurita is the later source, it is assumed wing was in error.[6]
- Special Command abilities for the Ninth Alshain Regulars can be found on page 47 of Combat Manual: Kurita.[1]
