Captain Jack Durrell was a MechWarrior, who served in the Outworlds Alliance aligned Thermo Police, during the thirty-first century.[1][2]
History
As of 3058, the then Sergeant Durrell, was a member of the Thermo Police's Ranger Lance.[1] Following the arrival of Clan Snow Raven in the Outworlds Alliance in 3064, and their violent elimination of Word of Blake influence on Dante in 3069, Durrell was promoted to captain and succeeded the Police's former CO Thomas Cable.
Retaining command of a much reduced Thermo Police for the remainder of the thirty-first century, while it was not much more than a reinforced Lance, Durrell attempted to continue the Police's traditional mission of assisting the remote denizens of the Periphery. However while seeking recruits to expand the Police, a pair of Word of Blake ROM agents infiltrated the unit, using their positions to execute both prisoners and envoys from other States. Undercovering the betrayal using ballistic analysis, Durrell confronted the Blakists within the Police's own headquarters on Tellman IV, and ultimately overcame them after a tense showdown.[2]
After he retired, Durrell parked his 'Mech on his family estate, where local children and artists painted it for charity.[3][4]
BattleMech
Jack Durrell was known to have piloted a MLN-1A Merlin BattleMech.[1][3][4]
