From its headquarters on Arnaudville, it carried out emergency relief and support efforts in the region, including dealing with natural disasters, pirate attacks, and hostage situations. They often hired mercenaries to assist, building up a good reputation as an employer.[1]
By the mid-3050s, with an increase in piracy in the region—driven by the AFFC's relative absence, their forces busy with the Clans—InterStellar Rescue found its resources strained. The organization struggled to pay staff and mercenaries in a timely manner, and ordering supplies was a struggle. Complaints to the AFFC brought no change, leaving the organization resentful.[2]
