Description
Armed, armored, and able to move almost 200 kilometres per hour, the Republic of the Sphere Hoverbike found popularity among militias and irregulars. Its small profile and high speed give its driver a level of mobility akin to a hovertank, but able to fit in tighter spaces.[3]
Equipment and Capabilities
The standard version carries a support laser and a support machine gun, assisted by an advanced fire control system. In addition, it has room for 107 kg of cargo.[3]
Variants
MWDA Dossier Variant
- Zephyr
- Heavily customized, Tora Sradac's personal hoverbike carries a prototype XL-970a autocannon and a pair of Stefler Heavy Recoilless Rifles, the latter firing armor-piercing rockets.[6] This variant is found in a pilot dossier for MechWarrior: Dark Age. No record sheet has been provided for it.
Notes
- Profiles of this hoverbike in Dossiers and Pilot Cards and Technical Readout: Irregulars describe the hoverbike as a Republic invention, potentially implying all hoverbikes rather than this specific design. However, the Bayamo and JI-002 Hoverbike both predate the Republic hoverbike.
