Henrietta Vickers was the commanding officer of the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns' 116th Interceptor Squadron during the Palmyra Debacle.[1]
History
Captain Vickers commanded the Valkyries—officially designated as the 116th Interceptor Squadron—during the Federated Suns' defeat in the Palmyra system. When the Valkyries' Leopard CV-class carrier was destroyed by the Draconis Combine's initial attack, Vickers lead her pilots in a coordinated strike that destroyed half a squadron of enemy Koroshiya fighters with their Gauss rifles before disabling an Okinawa-class DropShip. Vickers then had her squadron attack a Taihou-class DropShip in an effort to save the FSS Nikolai Rostov from destruction. While the Rostov and the Valkyries did not survive the battle, Vickers ultimately earned a Pyrrhic victory when her final surviving pilot Sergeant Angelo Dorden rammed into the Taihou with his fighter, destroying them both.[1][2]
