Edwin Sato was a commanding officer of the Nineteenth Sun Zhang Cadre during the Dark Age Era.[1]
History
During his tenure as commanding officer of the Nineteenth Sun Zhang Cadre, Tai-sa Sato commanded his troops in the invasion of the Federated Suns world of Exeter. Sato chose to land his DropShips in full view of the planet's capital city in an effort to scare the populace into surrendering. Instead, as his cadets marched in full parade regalia towards their deployment zones, the planetary militia overran Sato's soldiers. In under an hour, a company of the Nineteenth's BattleMechs had been destroyed and the Nineteenth Cadre were forced to retreat back to Homam. Sato was punished with a demotion, the seizure of his BattleMech by the Draconis Combine Mustered Soldiery's Procurement Department, and the Nineteenth Cadre's reassignment to garrison duties.[1][2]
