Eduardo Reyes was a notable armored infantryman in the Fifth Ceti Hussars during the Palmyra Debacle.[1]
History
Sergeant Major Reyes was a twenty-three year veteran and a former instructor at an Armed Forces of the Federated Suns regional sniper school when he participated in the 3144 Palmyra Debacle alongside the Fifth Ceti Hussars. While the remainder of the Fifth Hussars unsuccessfully attempted to avoid destruction, Reyes' squad of armored snipers began a guerrilla campaign in the city of Sawle that lasted for months after Palmyra's official conquest by the Draconis Combine. In mid-July, Reyes and his men struck their first blow against the Combine occupiers when a sho-sa, exploring Sawle's battle sites for mementos of the conflict, was decapitated by a light Gauss rifle shot from long-range. For the next three months, the Federated Suns snipers continued to assassinate enemy officers, claiming nineteen successful kills before their battle armor suits became inoperable due to lack of maintenance. Reyes, alongside the two surviving members of his squad, abandoned their equipment and faded into Sawle's civilian population, successfully evading capture by the Combine.[1][2]
