The template will not show up if the draft in question redirects outside of draft space. In other words, if {{fake link|Draft:Foo}} is moved to {{fake link|Draft:Bar}} with a redirect left behind, the editnotice will display the message when creating {{fake redlink|Foo}}, noting that Draft:Foo exists and redirects to Draft:Bar. However, if Draft:Bar is then moved to {{fake link|Bar}}, with Draft:Foo retargeted there as well, no message will show up when creating Foo.<br />

For rare ''ad hoc'' uses, the {{param|1}} parameter can be used to specify a page other than <code><nowiki>Draft:{{FULLPAGENAME}}</nowiki></code>, and the {{param|show_on_redirect}} parameter can be used to force the template to display even if the page is a redirect pointing outside draftspace.<br />
