It was destroyed in the [[Battle of Wayside (3058)|Battle of Wayside V]] in [[3058]].<br /> <br /> ==Operational History==<br /> The &#039;&#039;Retribution&#039;&#039; was part of an invasion force, mainly composed of [[mercenary]] forces from [[Northwind Highlanders]], but it also carried a full company of Combine troops, led by &#039;&#039;sho-sa&#039;&#039; [[Elden Parkensen]]. On 3 July [[3058]], it arrived at the [[periphery]] planet of [[Wayside V]]. However, the [[Clan Smoke Jaguar]] forces on planet were much bigger than expected, and while descending, the Jaguars&#039; [[aerospace fighters]] attacked the invading DropShips. All were damaged, and the &#039;&#039;Retribution&#039;&#039; crashlanded, sliding sideways, losing its landing struts and having his &#039;Mech Bays ripped wide open. However, Parkersen and some of his men survived the crash.&lt;ref&gt;&#039;&#039;Impetus of War&#039;&#039;, ch. 12&lt;/ref&gt;<br /> <br /> A [[Binary]] of Jaguars engaged the Combine survivors, who in turn were reinforced with a company from the Northwind Highlanders. Colonel [[Loren Jaffray]] had to blow the DropShip&#039;s hydrogen tanks to win the battle.
