As of early 3028, Finnegan was a member of the Command Lance of Baker Battalion. Following the [[Battle of Misery (3028)|Battle of Misery]], Finnegan joined the Command Lance of Epsilon Regiment's Second Provisional Company, as part of which he went on to also fight in the [[Fifth Battle of Harrow's Sun]]. He ultimately did not survive to leave [[Harrow's Sun]], being one of the Dragoons' casualties from that battle.<ref name=WDSB/><br />
