==Description==<br />
The ''Omega'' was designed as a mobile laser battery, similar to the [[Flashman]] by the same manufacturer.<br />
Only one prototype was built in [[2765]]. Soon after, it fell into the hands of [[Stefan Amaris]] when he conquered<br />
the [[Terran Hegemony]] during the [[Amaris Civil War]], and he had it moved to [[Terra]]. It then disappeared after the liberation of Terra; presumably [[Aleksandr_Kerensky|General Kerensky]]<br />
took it with him on the [[Operation EXODUS|Exodus]].<br />

==Weapons and Equipment==<br />
The ''Omega'' carries four [[large laser]]s and twelve [[medium laser]]s, and its 18 [[double heat sink]]s allow it to fire either set without heat buildup.<br />

==Canonicity==<br />
The ''Omega'' was only described in ''[[BattleTechnology]]'', which is not counted as a [[canon|canonical]] source anymore. Consequentially, the ''Omega'' must be considered apocryphal as well at this time. (A ruling by then-[[Line Developer]] [[Randall N. Bills]] to the effect that all 'Mechs from ''BattleTechnology'' are canonical was officially rescinded by his successor as Line Developer, [[Herbert A. Beas II]].)<br />

* The weapon location listing in the article includes an [[LRM-10]] without ammunition. This weapon is not mentioned elsewhere and it would make the ''Omega'' exceed its total weight by exactly five tons, hence it is likely listed in error.<br />
