Vigilante, then a [[Leftenant]], was known for conducting a daring raid against a [[Draconis Combine]] [[Mobile Long Tom|Long Tom howitzer train]] which was harassing Davion [[BattleMechs]] from a hidden valley.

Davion forces had attempted to locate the Long Tom several times, until it was finally located by the [[infantry]] attached to Vigilante's [[Goblin|Goblin medium tank]]. As he could not move his tank into the heavily wooded valley, Vigilante dismounted, and led his infantry in destroying the Long Tom.<ref name=TRO3026></ref><ref name=TRO3039></ref>
