Lars Varga was a Bloodnamed warrior and the commanding officer of Clan Steel Viper's Rho Galaxy as of 3061.<br />
<br />
==History==<br />
Galaxy Commander Lars was a thirty-year veteran of the Steel Viper military and maintained his skills as a warrior despite his advancing age. By 3061, he began to anticipate that he would soon lose command of Rho Galaxy and started to prepare his aide Star Colonel Maurizio Grimani for the position of Galaxy Commander. The impatient Grimani simultaneously instigated a whisper campaign with the goal of forcing Lars to abdicate his leadership position. After the Steel Vipers' expulsion from the Inner Sphere, Lars retained command of Rho Galaxy and was stationed in the New Kent system in 3067.<br />
<br />
During the Wars of Reaving, Clan Wolf's Abjurement lead the Steel Vipers to dispatch forces to several Wolf worlds in order to claim their territory. In May 3071, Lars lead three Clusters of Rho Galaxy against the Twelfth Wolf Regulars on Eden before eventually surrounding the Regulars in the ruins of a Clan Burrock enclave. The sudden arrival of Clan Coyote's Twenty-seventh Strike Cluster gave the Wolves an opportunity to launch a pincer attack against the Steel Vipers, resulting in the destruction of half of Rho Galaxy's fielded forces and the death of Galaxy Commander Lars. The surviving Wolves subsequently transferred control of their holdings to the Coyotes before being destroyed themselves in a Clan Blood Spirit attack two weeks later.<br />
