''L'Isle des Aigles'' (as their name went in the the French language they favored) was a proto-state of Davion heritage, and the last power on northern Circe to resist the [[Clans]]. The Eagles relied on extensive fortifications and frequently withdrew to avoid pitched battle with the superior [[Clan Snow Raven|Snow Raven]] and [[Clan Wolverine|Wolverine]] forces, allowing them to wear down the former through attrition. The Eagles were finally defeated on November 19, [[2821]], when the Wolverine hammer pushed an Eagle force near the city of Hamilton into the Raven anvil on nearby Constan's Ridge. The Ravens were expecting only a [[company]] but instead were faced with a [[battalion]] sized force, costing them half of their remaining ground forces.<ref name=HOKp76/>
