==History==
When the [[Free Worlds League]] invaded the [[Capellan Confederation]] at the start of the [[First Succession War]], Haley Fernando was the Security Minister of Second Chance. When Second Chance's naval defenders were destroyed by the [[Free Worlds League Navy]] and the defending [[Twentieth Liao Lancers]] collapsed without even laying eyes on the enemy, Fernando attempted to evacuate off-world via the city of Sweethaven's spaceport. Unfortunately, the Free Worlds League forces mistook the evacuating [[DropShips]] as signs of an impending attack and obliterated the spaceport from orbit. Fernando, along with numerous military troops and the planetary ruler, was killed during the seven-minute long cavalcade of orbital fire.<ref name=FSWp55/>
