==History==
The '''403rd ''Solahma'' Battle Cluster''' was one of the most ineffective units in the Coyote ''touman'' until [[Tam McTighe]] took command in the late 3050s. In August [[3073]] the 403rd along with the rest of Rho Galaxy as well as [[Delta Galaxy (Clan Coyote)|Delta]] and [[Epsilon Galaxy (Clan Coyote)|Epsilon]] Galaxies assaultrd in the [[Vinton]] system. The fighting was long and brutal, but by March [[3074]] the Coyotes had won the war of attrition and captured every major city.<ref name=WoR130-1>''The Wars of Reaving'', pp. 130–131</ref>

In December [[3074]] the [[Clan Steel Viper|Steel Vipers]] launched a massive assault on against Clan Coyote on [[Tamaron]] with six Galaxies and a large naval force. The 403rd and Rho Galaxy were part of the Coyote defending force. The Vipers quickly captured their objectives, several major factory complexes in the Apache Mountains, then moved against the Coyote capital city of San Mateo.
