The 2nd was a combined-arms force consisting of [[KF Drive]] equipped strike cruisers and assault carriers with attack transports carrying [[Colonial Marines]]. When the [[Outer Reaches Rebellion]] started in [[2236]], the 2nd Interstellar Strategic Combined Assault Force was on maneuvers around Saturn in the [[Terra]]n system.<ref name=HKTDCp16/><br />
