==Coordinate Problem==
Just because Earth is 0,0 doesn't mean much, as that map can spin 360* on your finger like a basketball, and always be accurate. You need another point to anchor the coordinates. Earth is the triangulation of two points, and can not triangulate itself. i.e, f your map has the center of the milky way at -X,+Y, and mine is +X,-Y, while we both have Earth at 0,0, who has their map upside down? how do you prove it?

:This isn't a problem for us, because we're simply echoing the system established by the FASA writers, but with more accurate coordinates using than those originally established, and which agree with those generated by the designer of the current in game maps used in sourcebooks and online. The entire coordinates system makes no sense given that it's attempting to replicate a three-dimensional structure via two-dimensional maps, but there's nothing we can do about it here at the wiki, because our role is just to capture and record canon detail. I'd suggest that you take the discussion up with the game developers via the official forum, via the Ask The Lead Developers area here: http://bg.battletech.com/forums/index.php?board=34.0 [[User:BrokenMnemonic|BrokenMnemonic]] ([[User talk:BrokenMnemonic|talk]]) 00:03, 15 December 2015 (PST)
