This formation was the primary defensive force for the Falcons' Homeworld holdings. The Galaxy consisted of four front line Clusters and a single ''[[solahma]]'' Cluster prior to the [[Refusal War]]. Despite their primary defensive role, they have engaged in offensive operations. They were particularly active during the [[Harvest Trials]] gaining two ''[[abtakha]]'' Clusters as a result of their actions.<ref name=FM:CRCp108/> They remained in the Homeworlds in [[3067]].<ref name=fmu49>''Field Manual: Updates'', p. 49</ref>

In November 3069 the Vipers launched assaults against Jade Falcon holdings in the Homeworlds. The Vipers Beta Galaxy returned to Marshall. Declaring the 2nd Falcon Velites ''[[dezgra]]'' they landed five Clusters on planet and destroyed the Velites to the last warrior. The Steel Vipers' [[Gamma Galaxy (Clan Steel Viper)|Gamma Galaxy]] landed on [[Eden]] overwhelming the Dragoons they destroyed the First Falcon Dragoons Cluster. The Vipers' [[93rd Assault (Clan Steel Viper)|Ninety-third Assault Cluster]] destroyed the Third Dragoons on Huntress. The Twelfth Talon was destroyed fighting against [[Alpha Galaxy (Clan Steel Viper)|Alpha Galaxy]] on Ironhold and Sigma ''Solahma'' was destroyed on [[Tokasha]].<ref name=WoR47>''The Wars of Reaving'', p. 47</ref>
