==History==
[[Adept]] Dobson lost his original [[BattleMech]] fighting against [[Clan Ghost Bear]] during the [[Battle of Tukayyid (3052)|Battle of Tukayyid]] and was reassigned to the first in a series of new machines while recovering from his injuries on [[Terra]]. Dobson was still stationed on Terra in North America when the [[Word of Blake]]'s [[Operation ODYSSEUS]] captured the planet in [[3058]], although he made it offworld—minus his BattleMech—after fighting a lengthy guerrilla campaign. Dobson was once again given a new BattleMech while in recovery and fought with distinction on [[Huntress]] as part of [[Task Force SERPENT]], where he downed numerous [[Clan Smoke Jaguar]] warriors. He lost his 'Mech for a third time during the [[Jade Falcon Incursion (3064)|Jade Falcon Incursion]] and was awarded with a new 'Mech and [[ComStar]]'s highest medal for valor after the end of the [[Federated Commonwealth Civil War]]. Later stationed on [[Tukayyid]], Dobson was reported as missing in action following the Word of Blake's obrital bombardment of the planet at the start of the [[Jihad]].<ref name=TRO58p216/>
