==History==
A member of the elite personal bodyguard unit of the [[First Lord]] of the [[Star League]], Southorn was a graduate from the League's prestigious [[Gunslinger Program]].

During the [[Amaris Civil War]], on 27 December 2766, Southorn was one of the survivors of the initial ambush ordered by [[Stefan Amaris]] which destroyed most of [[Richard Cameron (28th c.)|Richard Cameron]]'s protectors. Rallying with [[Colonel]] [[Hanni Schmitt]], Southorn was one of nine members of the Black Watch who made their last stand on [[Terra]]'s Gorst Flats, against forward elements of the [[Fourth Amaris Dragoons]]. Creating a meat grinder which caused severe losses to the Dragoons despite being heavily outnumbered, the Black Watch were finally overcome by tactical [[Nuclear Weapons]] ordered to be launched by Stefan Amaris.<ref name=NH></ref>
