[[Major]] Jones commanded a [[battalion]] of twenty-eight Norse-Storm [[BattleMechs]] and two [[platoons]] of infantry. Jones' abrasive attitude had earned him the ire of those outside of the security team but his blunt willingness to let his subordinates know how he felt gave him their devoted loyalty. When the [[Federated Commonwealth Civil War]] began, Jones refused to declare loyalty to either side of the conflict and was able to prevent any of his men from leaving the security team to join in the war effort.<ref name=TRO58p230/>
