===Dark Age===
First appearing on intelligence assessments in [[3145]], the Fifty-third Falcon Talons were an apparently recent formation.  They were garrisoned on [[Upano]].<ref name=FM3145p168>''Field Manual: 3145'', p. 168</ref>

On 5 September [[3146]] the Talons and four other [[Cluster]]s [[Battle of Arc-Royal (3146)|invaded]] [[Arc Royal]].  During the second week of battle, the Talon captured Old Connaught.<ref>''Shattered Fortress'', pp. 25-26: "Send in the Hounds"</ref>

On 15 February [[3148]] two [[Galaxy|Galaxies]] [[Battle of Coventry (3148)|invaded]] [[Coventry]] under [[Galaxy Commander]] [[Stephanie Chistu]], the Talons included among them. After facing fierce fighting with the [[Second Royal Guards]] the Talons were so badly mauled that they were ordered back to Upano.  They would not get much rest however, as the [[1st Wolf Strike Grenadiers (Clan Wolf-in-Exile)|First Wolf Strike Grenadiers]] of the [[Clan Wolf-in-Exile|Exiled Wolves]] [[Battle of Upano (3148)|struck]] them hard as they were refitting.
