2017 Founder's Awards Nominations
Please post your nominations for the various Founder's awards here for discussion. Post not only the Editor's or Admin's name, but also why you feel that person should be the awardee. Nominations will close on the 31st of March, with Nicjansma announcing after he has made his decisions. Negative responses are not solicited, as these are only for nominations.

Five out of the six Founder's Awards are up for nomination; the Founder's Consistent Service Award is completely left up to Nic. The criteria/descriptions of the awards can be found here.

Please post your nominations under the appropriate sub-heading.

Founder's Outstanding Member of the Year Award
:from the citation: "awarded...for the previous year's efforts" (overall)
*Frabby I'd like to nominate this guy. Friendly, helpful and does a lot of editing and adding new articles as well over the year. Buzzard (talk) 13:50, 29 March 2018 (EDT)
*Dark Jaguar can I nominate two people? This guy has probably put more edits in than anyone else this year with loads of Clan unit histories. Clan articles would be stubs with his input. Buzzard (talk) 13:50, 29 March 2018 (EDT)

Founder's Superior Editor of the Year Award
:from the citation: "awarded...for the previous year's efforts" (in editing)
*DragonoftheRust for doing the dirty work and cleaning up the spelling mistakes of so many of us (Including my habit or writing Armour all the time) - User:Dmon - 22:15 07/02/18
*Frabby can I nominate people twice for another award? I aways see this guy on here editing away, great stuff. Buzzard (talk) 13:50, 29 March 2018 (EDT)
*Dmon this guy adds lots of little edits and useful info. Buzzard (talk) 13:50, 29 March 2018 (EDT)

Founder's Superior Writer of the Year Award
:from the citation: "awarded...for the previous year's efforts" (in writing)
*BrokenMnemonic for the wonderfully detailed Character articles - User:Dmon - 22:08 07/02/18 (Where has the sig button gone?)
::Seconded, one of the strongest editors on Sarna. - Dark Jaguar (talk) 05:06, 11 February 2018 (EST)
::Yes this guy writes some great stuff. Buzzard (talk) 13:50, 29 March 2018 (EDT)
*Dark Jaguar great clan articles and well researched from more than one sourcebook. Buzzard (talk) 13:50, 29 March 2018 (EDT)

Founder's Exceptional Ambassador of the Year Award
:from the citation: "awarded...to the member who worked the hardest to promote Sarna's existence, strengths and capabilities to other BattleTech communities"
*Cyc for being the one to keep on top of the MechWarrior Online stuff - User:Dmon - 22:11 07/02/18
*Frabby again one of the few guys here to welcome a new user and so helpful as well. Thank you. Buzzard (talk) 13:50, 29 March 2018 (EDT)

Founder's Honorable Mention Award
:from the citation: "awarded...to candidates warranting special recognition for the previous year's efforts; awarded to selected nominees of the Outstanding, Superior & Exceptional awards"
*Our new Spanish friend Pserratv, only really been with us a couple of months and racked up over a thousand edits including details about Spanish products most of us likely had no idea even existed. - User:Dmon - 22:26 07/02/18
:Seconded. BrokenMnemonic (talk) 05:06, 6 April 2018 (EDT)
*Revanche - back after a fairly long hiatus, this user added a lot of content in 2017 - Dark Jaguar (talk) 04:42, 11 February 2018 (EST)
:Seconded. BrokenMnemonic (talk) 05:06, 6 April 2018 (EDT)
*Nuclear-Fridge - an ever present hard working editor and deserves recognition for this. - Dark Jaguar (talk) 05:06, 11 February 2018 (EST)
:: love this guys name, that alone deserves an award :) Buzzard (talk) 13:50, 29 March 2018 (EDT)
:::Thirded. BrokenMnemonic (talk) 05:06, 6 April 2018 (EDT)
*Dmon - another editor that contributes a lot and often flies under the radar for deserved recognition. - Dark Jaguar (talk) 05:06, 11 February 2018 (EST)
::Seconded! Nuclear-Fridge (talk) 05:42, 12 February 2018 (EST)
:::Thirded. BrokenMnemonic (talk) 05:06, 6 April 2018 (EDT)
*Wrangler - one of the handful of users who are basically an institution here, Wrangler continues to be a solid contributor, particularly when it comes to getting the new unit articles on here that are a primary draw for BattleTech fans. BrokenMnemonic (talk) 05:06, 6 April 2018 (EDT)
*ClanWolverine101 - added several hundred minor edits and small articles plus an impressive article on the 3028 Battle for Wapokeneta; if nothing else, he deserves an award for being the editor who cares the most about Wolf's Dragoons. BrokenMnemonic (talk) 05:06, 6 April 2018 (EDT)
*LittleWolf - another consistent, low-key editor who does good work and doesn't tend to attract much attention. Last year he did a lot of work on equipment, and on articles related to the Draconis Combine/DCMS. BrokenMnemonic (talk) 05:06, 6 April 2018 (EDT)
*Cache - did a lot of work in the first half of 2017 on adding images to the wiki, and providing improved-quality versions of existing images. BrokenMnemonic (talk) 05:06, 6 April 2018 (EDT)
*Henryjones000 - although only active for a few months, Henryjones000 added quite a lot of detail to articles on CCAF units over the course of several hundred edits. BrokenMnemonic (talk) 05:06, 6 April 2018 (EDT)

Addendum: Doneve
Our most prolific editor, Doneve went silent in January 2017, and it hasn't been possible to get in touch with him. Despite a number of significant health issues, he's been a huge credit to Sarna since he joined the wiki. While he isn't eligible for the Superior Editor of the Year award for 2017, in my opinion if there's ever been an editor here who deserves to receive some kind of distinctive editing award for his years of service, it's him. BrokenMnemonic (talk) 05:06, 6 April 2018 (EDT)
:Seconded Dmon (talk) 05:28, 6 April 2018 (EDT)
:: Thirded. Revanche <sup>(talk|contribs)</sup> 09:28, 19 April 2018 (EDT)

Addendum: After Party
Big congratulations and thanks to this year's awardees, and special call-out to the Editors who nominated everyone. This process started with you guys. -Revanche (talk|contribs) 21:29, 23 June 2018 (EDT)
