Major General Robert Madson was the commanding officer of the Star League Defense Force LX Corps in 2764.[1]
History
Born on the Terran Hegemony world of Rio, before joining the SLDF he earned a Master's Degree in cybersecurity and a Doctorate in network science. Despite this background, his military service was in combat divisions rather than Star League Intelligence Command, due to his preference to be hands-on in the field.
He still however helped make improvements in SLDF network security, targeting and communication systems, leading some to encourage him to take up a research position within the Hegemony.[1]

- According to author Craig A. Reed, the character is a tribute to his late friend Robert Madson, a BattleTech fan and contributor to BattleTechnology magazine together with Reed back in the day.
